Charles River Wheelers runs on members who volunteer their time, experience, and ideas. This October, CRW members will elect the club's Board of Directors. If you care about where the club goes next, consider putting your name forward.
Why Should You Consider Running?
Board members help set priorities and support the volunteers who organize rides, events, programs, communications, and member services. You do not need previous Board experience. Members with different backgrounds and perspectives make the Board stronger.
Ready to Throw Your Helmet in the Ring?
The process is straightforward:
- Confirm your eligibility. You must be a CRW member in good standing when voting closes on October 8.
- Learn about the role. Read the CRW Bylaws and join the optional virtual Prospective Candidate Info Session on September 17 from 7:00 to 8:00 PM ET. ** Register for the session. **
- Declare your candidacy. By September 23 at 11:59 PM, update your member profile to identify yourself as an Active Candidate, submit a Statement of Candidacy explaining why you want to serve on the Board, and make sure your profile includes a photo.
- Meet CRW members. Candidate statements will be published on September 25. The optional virtual Meet the Candidates forum will be held on September 29 from 7:00 to 8:00 PM ET. ** Register for the forum. **
Election Dates
Candidate declarations are open from September 14 through September 23 at 11:59 PM. Voting opens on October 3 and closes on October 8 at 11:59 PM. Voting instructions will be emailed to eligible members before voting begins. Election results will be announced on October 9.
What's Next?
