Ride Description:
Circumnavigate the gorgeous coastline, marshes, quiet roads, and a few hills from Little Compton through Acoaxet, Adamsville, Sapowet Marsh, Fogland Beach, Sakonnet Vineyard, and Sakonnet Lighthouse. Hear the story of "Sin and Flesh" and other historic and funny notes of the area along the way. Look it up or wait for the tour!
Lunch stop is in Tiverton Four Corners and we picnic at Gray's Ice Cream (porta potty behind ice cream stand). Bring your own lunch or buy local.

Tiverton Four Corners has galleries and there is an annual festival as well. You'll want to come back.
Following the ride many of us will head over for a classic seafood bite at Evelyn's Drive-In 2335 Main Road, Tiverton, RI before heading home. Though it coud be a beach day too (if you wish and the weather cooperates) go to South Shore Beach, 140 South Shore Road 2.5 miles from the start - no lifeguard, free parking, sand beach, great water!
Mike Schuttenberg created this route back in the 90's. This is the first time Mike's 'Sin and Flesh' ride is listed on the CRW Calendar though he cycled with many CRW and all his friends throughout the years. Mike rode his last ride in April 2018 and passed in October from pancreatic cancer. Mike loved nothing better than sharing a full day of laughter and conversation with friends, old and new. We hope you'll join us.

Find your own way to the Old Burial Ground, Commons Street, Little Compton, RI Put that in your GPS or use 48 Commons Street, Little Compon, RI. you'll be a few steps away from the actual start. On Street Parking.
No public restroom before the start - but The Commons Lunch Restaurant is across street (I'm told no food before 9:30 coffee available though). Brownell Library opens at 10:00 a.m. (across street from start), Porta Potty in Adamsville ~12.8m; Tiverton Four Corners 17.1m; and Fogland Beach 22.3m.
I'll be at The Barn Restaurant, 13 Main Street, Little Compton for breakfast at 8:00ish a.m. Feel free to join me and start your day with one of their excellent breakfasts! 10 minutes from the start.
~1.5 hrs to drive from Waltham to the start.

The main route is 37 miles.
If you need/want to shorten the route - you can do so all the way down to 26.5 miles. Get in touch with me beforehand or wait until that day and see how you feel. We do have someone on tap who will lead folks back to the start for the shorter route. Same route - just 1 turn early to end. Be happy. Just ride.
