Ride Description:
A classic CRW ride, intended to be fun and friendly for participants at all paces. On this route, we ride through Concord and the lovely Monument Street. The longer route takes you into Carlisle. We divide into multiple pace groups at the beginning so you can meet others who will be riding at your same speed. If you find yourself dropped, just wait for the next group to come along!
Most riders, choose the 30-mile route, though you can break off midway for the 20-mile route if you prefer. Fern's in Carlisle provides a great halfway stop for drinks and snacks for those choosing the 30-mile route.
The ride groups will be self led. and the ride leader (Bob) plans to ride the 30-mile route with his teenage son at a relaxed pace in a sweep position at least until Bedford, where we may skip the final hill on the official route and finish by picking up the Minuteman Bikeway at its terminus (that provides an easier finish if anyone is tired toward the end).
Ride Start Location:
The Minuteman Statue on the Lexington Battle Green at Massachusetts Ave &, Bedford St, Lexington, MA 02421
Ride Leader(s):
Bob Sayre (bob.sayre at gmail, 617 763 5255)
