Calling All Experienced Riders!

The Ride for Food partners with over 20 hunger relief organizations, community farms, and food rescue organizations to provide a platform for them to raise funds to support their fight for food security.  The event this year is planned for October 6th and hosts a 25, 50, and 62.2 mile bike through various towns and a cross country 5K walk around the campus.  The day begins with a DJ and breakfast and ends with a live band and a lunch.  We anticipate around 300 to 350 riders in attendance that day.

We need the support of experienced riders to volunteer to be our Ride Marshals on event day.  Our routes will be enhanced knowing we have riders to guide, direct and supervise our less experienced riders on the routes.  You will also have emergency contact information of our mechanics trucks, motorcycle marshals and contacts on campus in case of a break downs or other minor issues that may arise.  We have multiple locations with police detail at our “tricky” intersections.  Route maps will be provided for use in Garmen, Strava or as turn by turn directions in Ride with GPS.

Our routes can be found here:
