Directions: 

Alewife Station is reachable by car on Route 2, and there is ample paid parking; by car or bicycle on Alewife Brook Parkway; on paths from the west (Fitchburg Cutoff path), north (Minuteman Commuter Bikeway) and east (Linear Park). And Alewife Station is the terminus of the Red Line light rail, which takes bicycles except during peak hours in the peak direction. Ride groups meet in front of the parking garage on Steel Place.

Meet at Alewife station near the taxi stand. Base pace 14–16mph. Climb through Belmont center & Concord Avenue to more climbs in Lincoln. Optional stop at Mighty Squirrel on the return trip for seating outside & drink.

A.    Riders
All riders must be:
i.    Club member; or
ii.    Guest who may ride on a trial basis for up to two rides per year with waiver for each ride.

 

B.    Waivers
All riders must review and agree to a liability waiver.

Climb out of Belmont to rolling hills of Lincoln. Stop by Ponyhenge for pictures. Continue to quiet roads of Sudbury, looping back by way of Concord. Optional spur to Verrill Farm for snacks at 46km.

From route 128 take Exit #31 east (Rts. 4 & 225) 1.7 miles to Lexington Center. Park in the surrounding neighborhoods and bike to the start. Meet at by the Minuteman Statute.

Weather is going to be good. What else are you going to do? Meet at Lexington Green at 1:00 pm for a 14-16 mph ride.

Directions: 

From Rt. 95/128 take exit 19A (Kendrick St.) toward Needham. From the South, merge onto Kendrick (watch for cyclists!). Cutler Park is at the next light. From the North, turn left off the exit onto Kendrick St. Cutler Park is down the hill at the next stop light.

Ride image: 

Ride on scenic rolling roads through Needham, Dover, and Medfield. Long ride adds Sherborn. This is a 'show and go' ride (leader will do the long route at 15 mph average, but everyone is free to do their own thing). We will do pre-ride instructions at 9:20, and then the 41-milers will go out first at 9:30 (a firm start time), followed by the 27 and 19-milers heading out together after that. There are no arrows, so please be sure to bring your own cue sheet and/or use Ride with GPS. Download route before coming to the ride.

Notes: 

Check website by 7:00 Saturday morning for updates. Steady rain cancels. There are NO restrooms at ride start. Ride is limited to 30 riders so sign up early.
