This is not a CRW Group Ride. It is a route suggestion for members who are free to use it on any day or time of their choosing. CRW will resume group rides when the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.

Modified version of the former West Podunk route on back roads in and around Shirley, MA, voted America's Most Historic Small Town by (really!). Short ride includes Groton, Sterling, Lancaster, and Bolton. Long ride adds nice loop in Townsend and Lunenberg. Both routes now have lunch stop at Kimball's Farm in Lancaster and avoid busy retail area in Leominster. Limited food and drink opportunities, so BYO.

Starting point of this ride has a newly constructed parking garage, which has 7' height clearance. Only a few spaces are available outside the garage for vehicles with roof racks. Other CRW riders should park on the UPPER LEVEL of the garage. Be sure to download the 2020 version of the GPS routes and cue sheets (linked below), as the 2019 version had an alternate starting location due to construction of the parking garage.

As required by our insurance carrier,  non-members may participate in one CRW ride per calendar year and must fill out our release form before the ride.  You will not need to fill out the printed form at the ride.

If you would like to join CRW, go to our membership form.
