Different route, but still the Wednesday Gravel Social ride. Route is a gravel/mixed terrain ride with about 50% off road on double track and wide gravel trails. Some of it may be rough, sandy, & muddy, but if you've done gravel rides before and have tires 32+ mm, you should be ok. ** Both Estabrook and Great Brook have sections that are NOT appropriate for slick / skinny tires ** We will try to keep as a group, but anyone familiar with the trail can break off to go faster. Just let the ride leaders know before you disappear.

Start: Rev Hall

Route : We are trying something new this week. we will head north to the narrow gauge trail then cut across to Great Brook Farm. We will do a loop in the park, staying on wider trails (some sand, some gravel, and some roots, but nothing too technical). We will then head south through Carlisle to Estabrook woods and do the Estabrook trail downhill. That is the second slightly technical section, take it at your own pace. We will do a short section through the Minuteman National Park at Old North Bridge, then get on Reformatory Branch and the Minute Man Bikeway. Finish at Revolution Hall, and treat yourself to a beer!

*** Bring proper navigation tools: GPS device, phone app, or cue sheet (note that those don't work well for some wood sections). Do not rely on others to help you with navigation. They may ride at a different speed than you.

*** Bring bug spray: this is tick and mosquito season, and we will be in the woods.

*** Clear / light shade glasses recommended: Late in the day and in the woods sunglasses may restrict visibility

Rain cancels. Ride leader will make the call by noon on the day of the ride.
