CRW Rides are open to members and limited guests. Guests may only attend two rides before joining.
All riders (both Members and Guests) must REGISTER
If a rider has not pre-registered, that rider must do so online at the start of the ride.
The online registration will include a liability waiver that all riders will need to review and accept.
The online registration will also require all riders to review CRW’s Safety and COVID Guidelines and to agree to follow those guidelines on the ride.
Falmouth tour of beaches is a 35 mile ride down the shining path to Falmouth Beaches. We start in North Falmouth at the beginning of the shining path bikeway then will be riding along the coast to West Falmouth along the Falmouth road race route with turn around at West Falmouth beach.Heading back to to Woods hole along the Shining path, you will see views of Marthas Vineyard. Making way past WHOI in Wood Holes we head through some rolling coastal roads to Chappy Beach then on to Old Silver beach ending with Magansett in N Falmouth. The ride pace will be scenic with many stops for unbelievable views of Falmouth and cape cod. There is an ice scream shop at the end of the ride. You may want to jump in the ocean at any of the beaches. The ride leader is very familiar with all the Falmouth POI and can offer some additional scenic and inside places to go. Lets ride and see the scenic coast of Cape Cod!
Ride start is a free parking along rt 28A North Falmouth shining path bikeway. The lot will fill up quickly and a spot is not guaranteed. Ride sharing is recommended to ride start.
PARKING & DIRECTIONS
To reach the Shining Sea Bikeway, take Route 24 south to 1-495 south to the Bourne Bridge. From points north, take Route 3 south to the Sagamore Bridge rotary. Follow the signs to Buzzards Bay/Falmouth, then cross over the Bourne Bridge. From Bourne Bridge: travel Rt. 28 south to Falmouth. Fork right onto Locust Road Entry to the bikeway parking area is a mile down on the right just past Pin Oak Way. We will be starting at the newer North Falmouth parking area is located on the corner of County Road and Route 151.
There are many post ride places for lunch in Falmouth, Bourne and Woods hole. Pick the spot during the ride and head back on your bike.
