Spend the day touring under fall color palette of green, yellow, orange, & red leaves. Mostly quiet back roads in the Mondanock region between Fitchburgh and Peterborough.
Stamina a must, but high speed not required: ⬆️ ascend 1,280m over ➡️ distance 95km = ↗️ grade 12.63m/km. There are some short gravel sections. This will be self-guided tour, even though we will try to stay together as a group. Bring GPS device, phone with navigation apps, or cue sheets for the routes you plan to ride. We will not provide them.
Take MBTA Commuter Rail to Fitchburg arriving at 10:01. Lunch will be in Peterborough. Carry extra snacks & water—very few stops on the road. Dinner in Fitchburg may follow while we wait for return train at 18:18. Buy a weekend pass for $10.00. There is an earlier train at 15:48 for very fast riders.

T Time rides are those that combine train & ferry public transport service around Boston. T could mean train, tour, or just a cup of tea. The idea is to reach routes far from city centre or take one-way routes. These rides are often leisurely tours for a full day that allow several stops to take pictures, rest on the town green, dip in the water, & sample bakeries.
