Sure you've done a metric century before, but how about on a Friday at 5 AM?
Join CRW's Roosters for a fast metric century that focuses less on climbing and more on speed. Plenty of opportunity for pace lining and socializing. Starting from Mighty Squirrel Brewery in Waltham, we'll head to Groton via Lincoln, Acton and Littleton then back to TMS through Westford, Carlisle and Concord. This scenic and relatively flat metric includes a quick regroup/bathroom/snack at Dunkin' Donuts (mile 30) and a longer breakfast stop at Haute Coffee in Concord (mile 56). Pace is 17 mph +. Riders are welcome to skip the Concord breakfast stop to save time. We anticipate the slowest pace group (17 mph) to arrive back to the Mighty Squirrel by 10am, including generous stop time.
Headlights and tail lights required! High-viz clothing is also encouraged. Outside of summer months, this ride is very dark. GPS is also required. This group rides very fast. Riders who fall behind are dropped. All riders must be able to navigate the route on their own.
