Take your Friday mornings to the next level with CRW's breakfast edition of the Rooster Ride! Join our earliest risers for an extra long route that has one goal: ride fast enough (17mph+) to pause, share a lovely breakfast with fellow roosters, and still make it back by ~8 AM. We'll ride from our usual start at the Mighty Squirrel Brewery in Waltham on a scenic route through Weston, Wayland, Sudbury, and Lincoln (including a direct pass by Ponyhenge). At mile 25, we'll take a quick detour to Peet's Coffee in Lexington before returning to Waltham just a little more fit than when we left it. And, for those who only have time to socialize while on the move, this route provides an easy option to roll past the mile 25 breakfast detour turn at Waltham Street, which will get you back to the Mighty Squirrel before 7:30 AM. Headlights and tail lights required! High-viz clothing is also encouraged. Outside of summer months, this ride is very dark. GPS is also required. This group rides very fast. Riders who fall behind are dropped. All riders must be able to navigate the route on their own.
This ride will be leaderless December 10 and December 17, but regular riders will still gather at usual time and place. Headlights and tail lights required! High-viz clothing is also encouraged.
