If a rider has not pre-registered, that rider must do so online at the start of the ride.

The online registration will include a liability waiver that all riders will need to review and accept.

The online registration will also require all riders to review CRW’s Safety and COVID Guidelines and to agree to follow those guidelines on the ride.

I'm not ready to run 26 miles, but I am ready to bike 26 miles. Let's meet at the Hopkinton Bandstand at the corner of Hayden Rowe and Park St. at midnight and ride the marathon route in to Boston. You'll get home in time to take a nap and get back out to cheer on the runners.

We'll work on timing for those riding out from Boston and Newton to the start line and back in for 52 miles

You'll need lights on your bike. Bright lights in the front and red on the back. It will be dark. It's midnight. The more lights the better. Add on glow sticks, LEDs, disco balls, whatever makes you happy.

Coming from Boston, the Framingham/Worcester train 537 leaves South Station at 10:55 pm and arrives in Southborough at 11:56 pm. Then it's a short ride, uphill on Cedar St. to Hopkinton. There may be an issue if there are too many bikes on the train. This has been organized by Greg Hum in past year's. This website has many more details:

For any one looking to ride out and back, here are some rallying points for CRW to gather for the ride out (which is just a reverse of the marathon route).

  • Newton City Hall - front steps 10:15 (Doug will be here)
  • Morse Tavern, Natick 10:45 (Mark Nardone rally point)
