Intro to CRW
Join us for an Intro to CRW Ride!
- Have you just joined CRW?
- Do you ride, but never with a group?
- Are you looking for some company when you ride?
- Do you prefer more social rides and hate getting dropped?
Did you sign up for a charity ride and worry about the crowds of cyclists?
We've designed our Intro to CRW rides for you. These are not beginner rides, but an introduction to group riding for those who wish to participate in CRW weekend rides or have a more social riding experience. We'll have a ride leader and a sweep and do everything we can to keep the group together and make sure no one gets left behind.
Intro to CRW rides may be stand alone events or rides that are part of our regular weekend schedule. The stand alone rides will include only those participants who want to participate in an Intro to CRW ride. Those that are part of weekend rides will start at the same time and location as the scheduled ride. You'll have a chance to meet other riders at the start, listen to the safety talk and route description and watch the process as other rides start. You'll then go out with a separate group of Intro to CRW riders and leaders, following along the same route. Either way, you'll have a chance to enjoy a ride with fellow enthusiasts.
Rides will be scheduled throughout the season so check out the Rides Calendar and look for Intro to CRW rides. Participants should have a road bike in good working condition and be able to ride an average of 13-14 mph on flat roads. Be sure to bring what you need to fix a flat and a water bottle. Helmets are required on all CRW rides.
