Ride Start:

Early Thursday edition January 6 only to beat Friday’s snow! Take your Friday mornings to the next level with CRW's breakfast edition of the Rooster Ride! Join our earliest risers for a slightly longer route that has one goal: ride fast enough (17mph+ minimum) to pause, share a lovely breakfast with fellow roosters, and still make it back by ~8 AM. We'll ride from our usual start at the Mighty Squirrel Brewery in Waltham on a scenic route through Weston, Wayland, Sudbury, and Lincoln (including a direct pass by Ponyhenge). At mile 27, we'll stop at Peet's Coffee in Lexington for coffee and breakfast snacks before returning to Waltham just a little more fit than when we left it. Those squeezed for time can skip Peet's to be back to Waltham a little before 7:30 AM (assuming minimum pace of 17 mph).
Please note that riders who fall behind are dropped. This group rides 17+ minimum on average, but minimum pace on a given week may be higher depending on the riders participating. Each rider should be prepared to ride solo if dropped - GPS, repair kit, proper visibility gear, lights, etc. We cannot predict how many riders will join who cycle at your exact pace. All riders must be able to navigate the route on their own and should be prepared to manage mechanicals and other mishaps.
Outside of summer months, this ride is very dark. Headlights and tail lights are required! High-viz clothing is also encouraged.

Did you miss a morning ride because you slept in? Are you work-independent or working independently from home with time on your hands? Then saddle up for a mid-day spin! We'll explore various routes in Zwift's virtual worlds, targeting 50min of riding on routes with minimal elevation gain.

Follow Martin Hayes [CRW] on Zwift. If you add "[CRW]" to your last name on Zwift, you will be added automatically. Register for the ride here or post on the #ride-indoors channel on Slack to be added.

We’ll be using Discord for voice chat on pre-season rides. The club server is linked below.
