Start/Finish: Warner Park and Ride (off I-89 exit 9 in New Hampshire)
Stops: mile 21: JJ's / Irving; mile 38: Dunkins

The Kearsarge Klassic Dirt Road Randonee is a challenging bike ride in central New Hampshire that circumnavigates Mt. Kearsarge primarily on dirt roads.
The dirt roads and secondary paved roads are traffic-free (for the most part), hilly, scenic, twisty, and just plain fun.
Although the route is mostly town-maintained dirt roads, conditions vary from smooth dirt to loose and rocky gravel. For this reason, it is strongly recommended that riders use a gravel bike or cyclocross bike with tires of at least 32mm width. Riders are also encouraged to carry spare tubes.
The roads traverse many of the properties conserved by the Ausbon Sargent Land Preservation Trust.
For more information see https://www.ausbonsargent.org/

The CRW route is based on the Kearsarge Klassic 55 Mile Route

Notes:

***CRW WATER BOTTLE RAFFLE: Swag will be raffled off to 2 registered riders!***
Meet at Warner Park and Ride at I-89 exit 9 in New Hampshire. Please get there 15 minutes before start time.
Ride limited to ~7 plus the leader. Please stay home if sick or not vaccinated.
This is a GRAVEL ride. Wide 32 –35 mm tires will be most suitable.
We will average ~12mph with 2 stops for food.
This is a no-drop ride, but it is a HARD ride. If you can't average 12mph on dirt with lots of climbing (17mph paved road equivalent) then this isn't for you. I want to get home in time for the Pats game.
Due to the challenge of this ride, the leader may request additional information from registrants prior to being accepted for the ride. We appreciate your understanding.

Have you been looking for a long, hard/hilly ride that leaves early on a weekend morning and gets you home by lunch? The Mighty Squirrel is for you. This metric century takes you from Waltham out to the Harvard hills and back and is targeted at experienced riders who can maintain an average pace of 15/16, or 18/19 mph.

This is a tempo ride and we’ll go as a group, breaking into packs of up to 10 riders depending on the number of people who show up. Navigation is via GPS. The ride leader may hold the group while riders fix small mechanicals.

We suggest you bring your favorite gels, bars, drinks for the ride. We will make one brief stop at the parking area of Haskell Field at mile 17.8/KM 28.7 and then a longer rest stop at the Harvard General Store for a hot beverage and snack.

WE RETURNED TO THE USUAL 7:30AM STARTING TIME FROM APRIL ON!

Please plan to be there 10-15 minutes prior to the start.

Please check for weather cancelations day prior to the ride by 8PM.

We began using a new route in April—PLEASE MAKE SURE TO DOWNLOAD THE UPDATED ROUTE TO YOUR GPS DEVICE! This is a CRW-Devo ride.

Participants will be able to accumulate elevation towards the Climbing Challenge https://www.strava.com/clubs/155/posts/16516924

*** Bring proper navigation tools: GPS device, phone app, or cue sheet. Do not rely on others to help you with navigation. They may ride at a different speed than you. ***
