TODAY'S (June 14) RIDE CANCELLED DUE TO RAIN

Note the new start time:  5:30 pm.   Join Sam Gaudet for a mellow recovery ride after the weekend's hard riding.  Base pace 12–14mph. Cruise on Minute Man trail for a winding tour on small streets of Lexington.  Meet at Alewife station near the taxi stand. (Basically the middle of the station on the West side.  Adjacent to where cars drive in to park, there is a sitting area with some funky wood benches.)

*** Bring proper navigation tools: GPS device, phone app, or cue sheet. Do not rely on others to help you with navigation. They may ride at a different speed than you. ***

Leave Concord for a climb to MIT Haystack observatory. Speed through winding roller coaster. Stop at old Harvard observatory & nearby Carlson Orchards or Harvard general store.

Board Fitchburg line commuter rail from North Station at 7:20 to arrive Concord station at 7:59. Depending on route choice, you can meet the return train from Concord at 12:50 or 14:50.

  • Gate to Haystack observatory is usually closed. There is a bicycle path on the side.
  • Carlso Orchards has apple, peach, cider donuts, cider, & excellent hard cider (drink it responsibly). Or skip it for a stop at Harvard General Store.
  • Short ride climbs to MIT Haystack observatory. It misses all the other stops.
