Bourne Station

21 Bourne Bridge
Bourne , MA
Directions:

You will find the station at the end of the short road parallel (underneath) the Bourne bridge; after crossing the bridge southbound, use the traffic circle to turn left onto Sandwich Rd. Take the next sharp left to go back the opposite direction on Sandwich Rd to access this small street which will take you directly to the station.

This tour of the Cape is filled with iconic views starting in Bourne through to Mashpee, with longer route options including loops down to Woods Hole and around Barnstable. Come enjoy bread and pastries from Pie in the Sky, gorgeous lighthouses, and some of New England's finest beaches on the South shore.

Plan to take the MBTA Commuter Rail from South Station at 7:40 AM to arrive at Bourne, MA by 9:00 AM. Complete loop by 6PM to catch inbound train and arrive back at South Station around 8:30 PM.

All riders welcome, starting at 9:00 am, meeting at the Minuteman Statue in Lexington. It's a friendly ride for those new to CRW, new to group riding, as well as old hands.  Ride through Concord and the lovely Monument Street.  Longer route takes you into Carlisle.   We're divided into four groups, and if you find yourself dropped, just wait for the next group to come!

Four groups, something for everyone:

Touring Pace 10-12 mph - 20 mile route.  No drop ride, usually with a Ride Leader.

Club Pace 13-14 mph - 20 mile route.   Good conversational pace ride.  Riders can drop to the group following.

"Almost There" Pace 15-16+ mph - 20 or 30 mile route. Good workout pace where we can still chat - sort of.  Riders can drop to the group following.

Adrenaline Pace 17+ mph - 30 mie route.  This ride can be goofy fun, with attacks on hills and even on the flats (when someone is really bored).  Bring your grown-up socks for this one as they have been known to go faster -- much faster.  Again, if you're dropped, just wait for the next group to come.

Option of ice cream at Rancatore's in Lexington when the pandemic is over.
