Monday JUNE 14, 2021 STARTING AT 5:00 PM. The longest days of the year are now. Let's use the extra hours to explore the local gravel roads. 21 miles of road and, mostly, gravel starting at the Keyes St parking lot in Concord. We'll take in Mattison Field, Wright Woods, Sandy Pond, the Minuteman Trail, the Reformatory Trail, and Estabrook rd. Bring your gravel or mountain bike and a pump. The dirt roads can be rough and you may want lower tire pressure than what you'd use on the road. Makes a big difference when negotiating the inevitable roots and rocks. Figure about 3+ hours. Long days notwithstanding, bring a light. If the weather forecast deteriorates I may cancel. Stay tuned and check the gravel Slack channel.
